McGraw-Hill selected Sealworks to interpret material from this widely-used jazz textbook into an engaging interactive application.
An enhanced timeline feature illustrates the rich history of jazz in the context of broader historical trends and events. The textbook discusses the significance of U.S. and international cities in the development of jazz. We expanded the timeline with a geographical component. When users roll over cities on these Jazz Maps in a particular timeframe, a brief text description of what occurred there appears. The CD is an excellent example of how thorough absorption of the material and simple, elegant graphic design and interactivity can be used to visually interpret content and can be used to reinforce understanding.
